Thank you so much for your Rainbow Bridge section on your website. We lost our sweet 10 year old girl Dixie Lee who was adopted from the Harrisonburg SPCA 10 years ago. Our wonderful vet introduced us to the Rainbow Bridge and that as well as reading your Rainbow Bridge section has helped us to heal as we look forward to seeing our sweet Dixie Lee again. Your extra effort adding this section to your website is so very much appreciated!

In November it will have been 7 yrs since we adopted (an approx 2yr old) precious 1/2 Corgi, 1/2 Beagle from the CCHS. She has been a total joy from day one & is as spunky & wild as ever.. "Lexi" would like to thank everyone at the shelter who ensured her safety until she found her "forever home".

We just wanted to thank HSCC, Barbe, and the folds at the CC Animal Shelter for their help in adopting a wonderful puppy, Omar (formerly Charles Square Spike). We'd also like to thank whoever cared for him and his litter before adoption. He came to us incredibly confident, well-mannered and socialized for his age, and we have all those involved in his previous care to thank for that. We're working hard to help him continue down that path as he grows. We met alot of other wonderful dogs in our search and we are glad to see that you all helped them find good homes. We'd love to see the same happen for the rest. Especially the last of Omar's littermates, Duchess. We're biased, but she's beautiful and seems like a real sweetheart.

I just adopted two kittens from the pound which we renamed Lefty and Jack (we're golf fans). They couldn't be more perfect. They love each other's company and have made themselves right at home here, already cozy in our bed! I think everyone should consider adopting from the pound since these animals seem way more appreciative of the attention and love they receive!! Also, special thanks to Barbe, you are one of a kind and what you do for these animals is awesome-thanks for your help. We will take the best care of these two fellows :)

After looking for almost 2 months(with barbies help) for the perfect cat or dog to fit our family with some unique needs, I was about to give up. I told my self "You will just know when it is right". After visiting the shelter and PetSmart I left again dissapointed. My second trip I realized I hadnt seen one very important thing. It was Tasha, a thirteen year old Siamese kitty!!! The second I saw her, she was mine. Although she was 13 years old, she was born to be mine! She loves to cuddle up under the covers and sleep with us. She only eats the best there is, and she does what she wants when she wants! She will live out the wonderful spoiled rotten life she deserves. We cant stand to be with out her so we take her with us, which she loves too. It is like being a new mommy. She also loves my 3 yr old!

We adopted Ginny on February 1st and she has jumped into the family with all fours. What a wonderful addition. She is getting along with our Shepherd as if they had know each other all their lives. Thank you Barbie for all of your help.
