Volunteers over 18 years of age are needed to help with the dogs and puppies once a week at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility (located about 7 miles south of the Lynchburg airport just off Route 29). Duties will include: - walking dogs in the area near the impound facility,
- socializing and playing with puppies, and
- spending time getting to know the dogs and puppies.
Before committing to this task, please remember you will be working at the animal control facility -- there are many dogs and cats being housed there (and therefore, usually you will experience unpleasant smells). Also, if you have allergies to dogs or cats, this is not the place for you.
Leader: Barbe S. Training Time: Two days (1 hour per day) at 4 p.m. on site. 4 p.m.
